NATALIE J. GOERTZ | RN, BSCN, CIC
Natalie Goertz holds a BScN (UWO, London, Ontario) and is a registered nurse. She is currently completing a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. Natalie is certified through the Certification Board of Infection Control and has experience in all levels of health care including a large tertiary health care centre, a large community hospital as well as public health. She has managed an Infection Prevention and Control department in acute care. Natalie has served as co-chair of the IPAC-Canada Surveillance and Epidemiology Interest Group and as President for the IPAC-Canada Southwestern Ontario Chapter. She has extensive knowledge of program development and evaluation for Infection Control Programs, Environmental Services, and Reprocessing Departments and has successfully led these groups through the Accreditation process. Natalie has experience in conducting, participating, and evaluating research on infection control practices and has presented research findings at national and international conferences including IPAC-Canada, APIC, and SHEA.Read more / Less

COURTNEY STRICKLER
Courtney started her career within the Not-for-Profit Sector, working with vulnerable individuals. With that Courtney overseen 40 volunteers, networked within the County of Oxford, along with other agencies.
All while ensuring the day-to-day operations ran smoothly.

Jen Weston
Jen has proven herself to be an extremely effective leader at IPAC Consulting. Jen leads our customer service and client satisfaction team. They strive to provide our clients with customized solutions and continuously improving our service delivery.
Jen has 16 years of knowledge and experience in business administration, accounting, and management. Jen has been an instrumental player in process improvement initiatives within these roles. Jen plays a key role in the management and development of business operations at IPAC Consulting.
Jen leads our education and graphic design teams with subject matter expertise from our consultants.

PORTIA SCHUURMANS | BSCH, OCAD, A-IPC
Portia completed her Honours BSc in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Wilfrid Laurier University, and after working for a couple of years, she returned to school to study Advanced Biotechnology at Durham College and earned an Ontario College Advanced Diploma. She is currently earning a Master’s degree in Infectious Disease at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in London, England, has completed her Associate of Infection Prevention and Control certification, and is working towards obtaining her CIC designation. Both of these are continuing to expand her knowledge of effective infection control and the ways the principles can be applied to practical measures.
Having always had an interest in the science of healthcare, and with previous roles related to safety and quality control, Portia brings experience in leadership, education, and continuous improvement. Portia’s expertise pertains to Dentistry and Oral surgery, and she is a qualified fit tester. She also has experience in health care construction and renovation with knowledge in various design standards including the CSA Infection Control During Construction and Renovation (Z317.13-12) and Canadian Healthcare Facilities (Z8000).Read more / Less

Abbi Crown
Graduated from practical nursing in 2013 and became registered in 2014. Have worked in LTC and Acute care over the last 8 years. Got my Perioperative nursing certificate and spent a year in the operating room. Taught the personal support worker course through Conestoga college. Have always had an interest and passion in infection prevention and control and took a leap of faith after 8 years with my previous employer to join IPAC consulting. Love educating people around me with scientific research and evidence-based practice to ensure those around me can help limit the spread of infectious diseases and create a safer environment for all of us. Alexandra Rhoades
Allie has always held an interest in promoting health and preventing disease while focusing on population health. She completed her undergrad at Brock university and graduated with an Honours bachelor’s in public health, hoping to further her education in the future. She has gained experience with health promotion, health policy and has learned about emerging health issues both locally and globally. Through volunteer experience, Allie has been able to promote health and education to community members through outreach programs and has been able to research and spread evidence-based knowledge surrounding COVID-19 with volunteer platforms. Danielle’s interests in infection control began during her time at Brock University while studying Public Health and working within the community.
Danielle has since graduated with an Honours BPH and a Mental Health First Aid certification, wishing to further her education in the future.

I am currently in my final year of studies at Carleton University in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Honour’s program with a concentration in Global Health. My administration and medical backgrounds really find a happy medium within IPAC; merging my interest in helping the community as well as ensuring clients receive the best programs possible. MICHAEL STOCKALL | OCD
Michael’s involvement in the world of infection control began at Conestoga College, where he earned an Ontario College Certificate by completing their Pre-Health Sciences program; this was followed by the completion of Conestoga’s Biotechnology Technician program, where he earned an Ontario College Diploma with distinction. Since then, Michael has continued his education at the University of Guelph, with an Honours Degree in Microbiology, minoring in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Michael’s education has provided him with a thorough background in the nature of infectious diseases and how we can best mitigate their spread through various professional sectors. Michael works with clients in Hospitality Services, Social Services, and Dentistry to audit and assess their infection control practices, as well as develop new policies, or update current ones in order to adhere to the latest public health guidelines.Read more / Less

SEEMA SHARMA | MBBS, MPH, CIH
Seema Sharma holds a Master’s degree in Public Health specializing in Occupational and Environmental Health from the University of Toronto and is a trained physician from India. She has experience working in healthcare health and safety for more than 15 years. Having a background and practiced occupational medicine gives her an edge in identifying the root cause of any injury and illness, hence devising practical prevention strategies for any workplace. An in-depth understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements helps her to lead workplaces through all stages of any approval or accreditation process. She is a member of Workplace Health Without Borders and has presented at the Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario. She is well versed in developing workplace violence, chemical safety, PPE program for private and public organizations. Annupal Sandhu
Annupal’s interest in healthcare began as she studied Kinesiology at Brock University, after which she pursued Nursing at Centennial College. She is a Registered Practical Nurse who is well rounded in the aspects of health and wellness, with Nursing experience at Toronto General Hospital. She has recently switched gears and now focuses on COVID-19 testing with IPAC. Annupal recognizes the need for adequate testing to help tackle the virus and reach a sense of normalcy in the near future. To do this, Annupal manages all the testing for IPAC and provides our clients with excellent customer service.
